Parking Supervisor - Day Crew

Permanent full-time – 38 hours per week (varied hours with some shift work)

Band 6 - $91,301.96 - $99,397.12 + super

Yarra City Council is seeking a Parking Supervisor to join the Compliance and Parking team. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic professional with strong interpersonal skills and good judgment to operate in a vibrant and challenging environment.

The Compliance Branch is responsible for ensuring compliance with Council's local laws, parking, public health regulations and planning regulations. The vision of our Branch is to implement a range of parking efficiencies, statutory health protection and compliance services to maximise the safety, compliance and harmony at Yarra.

This position will assist the Team Leader to ensure the effective and efficient supervision of the Parking Control Unit and provide operational input into the functioning of the Unit. It requires the efficient and effective application of the Traffic and Parking Acts, Local Government Act and Regulations to facilitate safe movement of pedestrians and the orderly movement of vehicular traffic within and throughout the municipality.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement strategies that make a difference, to positively service the local community in a way to satisfy community expectations and foster a positive public image.

Proven experience in a regulatory role is desirable but not essential. You must be a great communicator, with the ability to problem solve and have excellent interpersonal skills.
